About Me!

My name is Quinn Healey, and I am a sophomore B.F.A. Stage Management student at the University of Southern California. I've also declared a minor in Web Development and hope to begin an M.S.L in Media and Entertainment Law during my undergraduate studies through USC's Progressive Degree Program.

Throughout high school, I interned at the (now-defunct) Ritz Theater and Performing Arts Center, a performing arts center and events space housed in a former Vaudeville theater. Through this internship, I gained experience in several areas of technical theater and initially found an interest in lighting design. The summer before my junior year, we were searching for a resident stage manager and were unsure we would find someone before the start of the season in September. I asked my mentors if I could try stage managing a show, and they went out on a limb and gave me a chance. I taught myself how to make paperwork and calling scripts from our former resident stage manager's materials, and the rest was history! I fell in love with stage management and never looked back.

I've loved music for as long as I can remember. I'm a classically-trained pianist and have taught myself several other instruments, my favorite being electric bass. I'm also a member of the USC Trojan Marching Band Drumline!

Last summer, I was a Stage Management Intern at Music@Menlo, which greatly piqued my interest in the music industry. After graduation, I hope to work in classical music or live events, such as large-scale concert tours.

Before discovering my love of stage management, I originally planned to major in Computer Science. My portfolio website was my final project for a Web Development course!
